Tracye A. Polson, Ph.D., L.C.S.W.

I think as human beings we want to feel seen, heard, appreciated, respected, loved, and valued. I believe most of us want to make a difference in the lives of those around us, our loved ones, friends and community. Making a difference and enjoying healthy and gratifying relationships and contributing to one’s community can take many forms but they all involve relationships. Relationships are at the center, I believe, of what drives each of us to want more in our lives.
Psychotherapy is not easily described in general statements. It varies depending on the personalities of the psychotherapist and the patient and the particular concerns you bring to this endeavor. Psychotherapy is not like a medical doctor visit. Instead, it calls for a very active effort on your part. In order for the therapy to be most successful, you will have to do everything within your power to be as honest as possible with yourself and with me and to come to your appointments regularly and on time.
If you find yourself feeling deeply unhappy, confused and dissatisfied in any of your relationships, I’d like to learn more about you and what you are seeking in your life and in your relationships.
